Loreon Academy

Learn from people
who ship.

Sessions are taught by the engineers doing our client work, so you get current practice and the reasoning behind it. Past sessions are free to watch on YouTube.

How it works

Live cohorts,
taught by practitioners.

Training runs in scheduled cohorts. Sessions are live, taught by the engineers who do our client work, and built around the tools people actually use at work.

A large library of past sessions is free to watch on YouTube. Start there if you want to judge the teaching before you enrol in anything.

01

Scheduled cohorts

Each track opens on a set date and runs live to a timetable, so you know what you are committing to before you start.

02

Free video library

Recorded sessions on the Data with Dami channel cover much of the material. Watch it, then decide whether a live cohort adds anything for you.

03

Practical, not theoretical

Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI and Tableau, taught on the kind of data and questions you will meet in a working role.

Programmes

Six ways
to work with us.

Three cohort tracks, one-to-one mentorship, private training for organisations, and a small number of internship placements. Dates and fees are shared on enquiry.

T1

Data Science &
Machine Learning

Python for analysis, statistics that matter in practice, feature engineering, supervised and unsupervised modelling, honest validation, and deployment of a model behind an API with monitoring attached.

Format: Cohort, live
Level: Some Python assumed
Mode: Online worldwide, or Abuja
Dates: On enquiry
T2

Data Analytics &
Business Intelligence

SQL to a professional standard, data modelling, warehouse thinking, dashboard design that respects the reader, and the analytical framing that turns a request for "a report" into a question worth answering.

Format: Cohort, live
Level: Beginner friendly
Mode: Online worldwide, or Abuja
Dates: On enquiry
T3

Software
Engineering

Building and shipping a real web application: version control discipline, API design, databases, testing, review culture, CI/CD and deployment. Weighted toward the habits that make a hireable engineer.

Format: Cohort, live
Level: Beginner friendly
Mode: Online worldwide, or Abuja
Dates: On enquiry
M1

One-to-one
Mentorship

For career switchers and early-career engineers. Regular one-to-one sessions focused on whatever you are working on, with a plan pointed at a specific role.

Format: 1:1, fortnightly
Level: Any
Mode: Online
Intake: Rolling
C1

Corporate &
Team Training

Private programmes built on your stack, your data and your conventions. Common requests: SQL and analytics for non-analysts, Python for engineering teams, applied AI for product and operations leads, and data-literacy sessions for management.

Format: Private workshop
Length: 1–5 days
Mode: On-site / online
Scope: Bespoke
I1

Internships

A limited number of placements each intake, working alongside our engineers on real client and internal projects. Supervised, reviewed, and treated as a job rather than an observation exercise.

Format: Placement
Level: Track graduates prioritised
Mode: Remote, or Abuja
Intake: Limited places

Curriculum

What gets
covered.

Weighted toward practice. Every topic is taught against a dataset or a codebase, never as slides alone.

  • /Foundations of data analysisFraming a question, choosing a method, and knowing what a result does and does not support.
  • /Excel for business analyticsModelling, lookups, pivots and clean workbook structure, the tool most organisations actually run on.
  • /SQL for data managementJoins, aggregation, window functions, and writing queries someone else can maintain.
  • /Python for data analysispandas, visualisation, reproducible notebooks, and the transition from notebook to production script.
  • /Power BI & TableauData modelling inside BI tools, DAX fundamentals, and dashboard design that respects the reader.
  • /Data cleaning & interpretationHandling missing, duplicated and contradictory records, then communicating the caveats honestly.
  • /Machine learning & AISupervised and unsupervised modelling, validation discipline, and deploying a model behind an API.

Enrolling

From enquiry
to first session.

Cohorts run to a schedule, so the main thing to establish is which track fits and when the next one opens.

Step 01

Watch first

Recorded sessions are free on YouTube. The quickest way to know whether our teaching suits you is to watch some of it.

Step 02

Enquire

Tell us which track interests you and where you are starting from. We reply with dates, fees and what the track assumes you already know.

Step 03

Reserve a place

Confirm for the next cohort. You get the timetable and the joining details ahead of the first session.

Step 04

Attend live

Sessions run live to the published timetable, taught by the engineers doing our client work, with materials to keep.

Watch a session before you pay for one. The recordings are free, and they are the same people teaching the same material.

Fit

Who this
is for.

  • Graduates with the theory but no shipped workYou can explain gradient descent and have never deployed anything. We fix the second half.
  • Career switchers from adjacent fieldsFinance, engineering, sciences, operations: people with domain judgement who need the technical craft.
  • Analysts ready to go deeperComfortable in spreadsheets and stuck there. Moving to SQL, modelling and a proper warehouse.
  • Teams inheriting a new stackOrganisations that just adopted a warehouse, a BI tool or an AI workflow and need their people fluent quickly.
  • Anyone who only wants a certificateWe do not issue certificates. What you take away is the skill and the material.
